I am fund-raising for a program I dearly love, on-site internships in Washington, DC. For many years, I coordinated Cal State Fullerton’s participation in the Sacramento Semester Program, where students spent a semester as an intern. I persuaded an excellent student to do the program; while there, she met the man she married; and she is the catalyst for our DC internship program. You can imagine how proud I am of Margaret McCarthy and Michael Potter! When I coordinated the Sacramento program, I assured students: you do this internship, and do it well, and you will be offered a job, and this video link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ2KOZhY0U4&feature=youtu.be)* for the DC program confirms my advice!
